    • LMDz ~1/3 deg, 589 Kpts, 39 vertical levels
    • NEMO ORCA0.25, 1.5 Mpts, 75 vertical levels
    • Run with 2191 cores: 2048 LMDz, 120 NEMO, 23 OASIS3 : overhead not precisely evaluated
  • High resolution EC-Earth
    • Ekman cluster (Stockholm) : 1268 nodes (each with 2 quadripro AMD Opteron)
    • IFS T799, 843 Kpts, 62 vertical levels
    • NEMO ORCA0.25, 1.5 Mpts, 45 vertical levels
    • 20 coupling fields
    • Coupling frequency: 3 hours
    • Run with 1057 cores: 800 IFS, 256 NEMO, 1 OASIS3: 11% elapse overhead
    • Run with 1066 cores: 800 IFS, 256 NEMO, 10 OASIS3: 1.3% elapse overhead

      • operationally used for seasonal forecasts

    • High resolution NEMO/CICE - UM :

      • 38 coupling fields (20 from the atmosphere to the ocean and 18 from the ocean to the atmosphere)

        • 192 PEs for UM ~ 2/3 deg atmopshere, 432x325 = 140 Kpts, 85 vertical levels
        • 88 PEs for NEMO/CICE (ORCA0.25) : 1.5 Mpts, 75 vertical levels
        • 8 PEs for OASIS3
        • Exchange through the master process only as it was observed to be significantly faster than when each process sends its part of the coupling field to the OASIS3 processes
        • Less than 2% overhead
