The programming part is also treating the data structures and overall structure of the code of echam6.

You should have some basic knowledge of UNIX and fortran. echam6 is written in fortran90 but even if you are familiar with fortran77 only, this should be sufficient for this course since all special fortran90 structures that are present in echam6 will be explained in the course. The course will be over 6 days (Monday to Saturday). Monday to Friday, there will be lectures each day from 9-11 a.m. and 3-5p.m. Computer exercises are from 11-12:30 a.m. and 1:30-15 p.m. On Saturday, there is another possibility for computer exercises from 9-12h a.m.

There are three different weeks among I will choose the one at which most of the interested people have time:

16.-21. July

23.-28. July

27.August - 1.September

So, if you are interested, please mark the weeks that are possible for you under the following link until Thursday, 31st of May (only the first day is indicated, respectively): http://www.doodle.com/z3c3md8crgzqufcv

I will then decide at which week the course will take place and inform all people voting in the doodle. For that, it is necessary that you put your email-address besides your name in the doodle!

Please feel free to further distribute this announcement. If you have questions, fell free to send me an e-mail.
