Project Description
The EU-project EUDAT has developed a Collaborative Data Infrastructure (CDI) which allows researchers to share data within and between communities. ENES is involved in EUDAT via the Partners CERFACS, DKRZ and MPI-M. EUDAT services are available now. In principle, every EUDAT service is interesting for the climate community. Since they are many, we focus on two here:
B2FIND is an easy to use search service across communities.
- Easily find collections of scientific data, generated either by various communities or via EUDAT services
- No registration necessary
- Current status:
- Metadata available from 13 communities
- > 600000 datasets
B2SHARE enables scientists to store smaller datasets and share them with other researchers.
- Free upload of stable research data
- Long-term persistence of data
- Data owner defines access policy
- Openly accessible and harvestable metadata
Most of these information have been collected from EUDAT´s homepage
