The Research Data Alliance dedicates itself to building the social and technical bridges that enable open sharing of data. RDA has several active working groups whose efforts and possible outcomes can be of interest to ENES partners with respect to topics such as e-infrastructure provisioning and maintenance, data citation and life cycle management.

Working groups of interest include:

• Data Citation: Approaches for citing subsets of data, with particular applicability towards dynamic/observational data.
• PID Information Types: Cross-community concerns regarding unique and persistent identifiers (PIDs) and their associated information relevant for data management tasks.
• Practical Policies: Provides best practices for policy-based data management systems used in data infrastructures.
• Metadata Standards Directory: Develops an open directory of metadata standards from various communities.
