Summer School Fluid Dynamics of Sustainability and the Environment

The Summer School on Fluid Dynamics of Sustainability and the Environment is intended for Ph.D. students, postdocs and engineers with a background in earth sciences, engineering or mathematics.

The academic programme of the FDSE Summer School comprises classroom lectures on fundamental and on applied topics. Different guest lecturers are invited each year to teach selected topics from the wider scientific, technological or societal context of sustainability and the environment.
Afternoons are mainly spent on team projects of experimental and numerical nature. The students are guided by tutors in conducting experiments and numerical simulations.

Regular social events are planned for weekday evenings. The weekend of July 6/7, including the nights, will be spent in the centre of Paris.
