The Research Centre Jülich, Germany, in collaboration with the Universities of Cologne and Wuppertal, now offers its annual Intensive Course "Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics" for 2015.

This is a 1 week introductory course with lectures and exercises, taylored for PhD students, master students and postdocs with background
in chemistry, (geo)physics, meteorology, geo-ecology and related topics, who place their focus on atmospheric research.

The Institute for Energy and Climate Research (IEK 7 and 8) will host the lectures at its seminary premises in the week.

The objective of the course is to provide an introduction to the basics of atmospheric chemistry. Students will be enabled to gain a qualitative and quantitative understanding for physical and chemical processes, which control the state of the atmosphere and its sensitivity with respect to violations.
