The 15th International workshop on Multi-scale (Un)-structured mesh numerical Modeling for coastal, shelf, and global ocean dynamic will be hosted by the Midi-Pyrénées Observatory and LEGOS Ocean Science Laboratory.

The first workshop in this series was held in Louvain-la-Neuve in 2002. Since then, the IMUM annual workshops have become a premier forum to report on, and advance, the state-of-the-art of unstructured-mesh modeling of the ocean, at multiple scales and in its interactions with freshwater and/or the atmosphere. The workshops have an informal and interactive style, and seek to balance high quality presentations with discussions on leading edge development, benchmarking and application of models.

In addition to the scientific program, we wish to dedicate the last day of the workshop to provide facilities for software demos and/or numerical tools exchanges between participants. In what could be thought as a software market place, participants will be encouraged to share software and experiences about mesh/grid generation (triangular/quadrangular unstructured grids, non-orthogonal structured grids), database processing (DTMs, initial conditions, …), graphical user interface, etc..

The registration fees* are payable here will include coffee breaks and lunch for the 3 days (and some light food and drink on the 4th day), plus a social dinner at the Museum of Toulouse restaurant, an excellent restaurant offering a beautiful outdoor terrace. Workshop facilities will include a conference room and a guest room for participants. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided on site.

Midi-Pyrénées Observatory can be easily reached from downtown city. Therefore we will advocate people to favor accommodations in Toulouse city center. To help participants to arrange their stay, we have negotiated a pre-booking in different hotels known for being nice and affordable. More information here.

*The registration fees are 250 € and 150 € for students.
Warning !! After July 15, the registration fees will be 300 € for everyone, remember to book in advance.
